Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can directly impact students' lives. This contract opportunity will place you in a supportive environment, serving East and Southern areas of a vibrant district. Full-time SLPs are needed for the 2026-2027 school year, with supervision provided for SLP-CFs and an engaging professional community ready to welcome you. The district values your skills and offers flexibility based on your caseload preferences; specific details will be shared during your interview.
Key Qualifications:
Active North Carolina SLP license required CCC designation preferred, but strong CF candidates considered with district-provided supervision Experience with autism spectrum disorders and low cognitive disabilities is highly preferred Previous school-based SLP experience desirable Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to providing exceptional services in a diverse, inclusive school community
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to a caseload of up to 35 students Conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and implement therapeutic interventions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state guidelines Provide consultation and support to teachers regarding student needs Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
