Job Description

Gering Public Schools is dedicated to promoting teamwork and personal growth through athletics and extracurricular activities. We're seeking an energetic and skilled Girls Assistant Wrestling Coach to help lead our wrestling team!

Coaches are responsible for supporting the program organization, conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athlets in game strategies and techniques. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess general knowledge of the sport's rules and regulations, and be willing to promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and the value of education. Additionally, qualified candidates must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students. In-district and out-of-town travel required as necessary for training and/or to carry out essential duties and responsibilities. The Board of Education, in conjunction with the Superintendent and the Gering Education Association, annual review the compensation format and needs of our staff in order to keep a competitive pay structure in place.
