Job Description

The Granite YMCA is seeking Swim Instructors to join our fun, energetic, and mission-driven aquatics team! This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, gain teaching experience, and make a lasting impact by helping swimmers of all ages build confidence and water safety skills. Responsibilities:
Teach swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels Ensure a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment Follow YMCA curriculum to support skill progression and water safety Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback Build positive relationships with swimmers, families, and staff Track participant progress and complete required documentation Assist with pool safety and respond appropriately in emergency situations Attend required trainings and communicate scheduling needs
Qualifications:
CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain) Strong swimming skills and comfort in the water Ability to communicate clearly and work with diverse age groups Positive, patient, and encouraging teaching style
