Job Description
Under the direction and supervision of the YMCA Director, and in consultation with the Swim Team Parents Association, the Head Coach will direct, administer, and manage the Raritan Valley YMCA Swim Team and related programs. Direction shall be consistent with guidelines as established in the Association's Physical Education Policy, YMCA Sports Philosophy, and National Rules that govern YMCA sports. The Competitive Swim Team consists of 200-250 swimmers ages 5 to 19. The team also holds events which may be open to non-team members (including spring workouts, summer workouts, team tryouts). The Head Coach is responsible for the hiring, certification, development, and supervision of Coaches and Associate Head Coaches. The Competitive Swim team's focus is to improve the performance of team members in competitive YMCA and USA swim meets, build swimmer confidence in a positive atmosphere, and incorporate YMCA values.
