DESCRIPTION

Provide coaching and support to student athletes and assistance to his/her designated supervisor(s). The coach will provide leadership, instruction, supervision, and guidance to student-athletes while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, academic responsibility, character development, and student safety. The coach is responsible for conducting practices and contests, supervising student-athletes, maintaining appropriate communication with the Athletic Department and families, and ensuring compliance with district, NJSIAA, league, and school policies and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Substitute Teaching Certificate Prior High School Coaching experience Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the applicable sport. Ability to effectively lead, instruct, and supervise high school student-athletes. Ability to work collaboratively with the Athletic Director, administration, coaches, athletic trainers, students, and families. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compliance with the

Implicit Bias Cert Fundamentals of Coaching Cert BeNice Cert Additional certifications or training may be required based on applicable state, NJSIAA, or district requirements.

Middle School Assistant Girls Basketball Coach $7,928.33 This is a temporary, seasonal coaching assignment with a fixed stipend for the contracted sport season. This position does not include year-round employment, benefits, or guaranteed continued assignment beyond the designated season/ contracted period. Stipend and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement.
