In this energetic role, you will lead basketball training sessions, organize engaging games, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth both on and off the court. Your passion for sports and dedication to youth development will help shape confident, motivated players while promoting healthy activity and fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young sports enthusiasts. Responsibilities Plan and execute basketball practices tailored to various age groups and skill levels Lead engaging drills that improve fundamental skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense Organize friendly games and tournaments that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition Monitor player behavior during sessions, applying effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe environment Provide guidance on physical fitness, nutrition, and overall health related to athletic performance Collaborate with parents, guardians, and program coordinators to support each child's development goals Maintain equipment safety standards and ensure all training areas are clean and well-organized Requirements Prior experience in sports coaching, especially basketball or related activities such as cheerleading or martial arts like Karate or Judo Demonstrated ability to work with children and young students in a teaching or childcare setting Knowledge of physical education principles and experience in teaching physical activities such as swimming, climbing, or martial arts Lifeguard experience is a plus for understanding safety protocols during water-related activities Strong communication skills to motivate students and manage group behavior effectively Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude Certification or background in health club or gym environments is advantageous Join us in creating an inspiring space where youth can thrive through sport!
