Job Description

Position Summary:
Provides direction for planning, budgeting, organizing, and maintaining a well balanced, competitive NCAA Division II Acrobatics and Tumbling program. The program will operate within the athletic policy and guidelines of Georgian Court University, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association, and NCAA Division II.

Schedule contests appropriate for the academic schedule. Scout opponents as needed. Organize program fundraisers and participate in departmental efforts and partnerships. Implement service and community engagement activities. Hire and supervise assistant coaches. Collaborate the recruitment of student athletes with assistant coaches and Georgian Court admissions counselors. Evaluate individual and team performances. Develop and train leaders to represent their program. Conduct mid and end season reviews, and hold exit meetings of all athletes. Actively monitor the academic performance of student-athletes. Be informed and enforce GCU, CACC, and NCAA rules and guidelines. Successfully complete NCAA Division II Rules Modules and stay current with all compliance rules and procedures. Attend meetings or workshops as appropriate. Certification in CPR and First Aid/AED required. Be knowledgeable of the colleges commitment to Mercy Core Values and support those values. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Administrative Responsibilities 40% This position will have rotational administrative duties that may include Equipment Manager, Fitness Center Manager, Community Engagement, Student Employee Supervisor/Assignor, Game Day Management, SAAC advisor, or other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications:
Bachelors required/Masters preferred Experience in coaching Acrobatics and Tumbling or one of the disciplines of gymnastics (artistic, acrobatic, trampoline, power tumbling) or cheerleading (competitive or sidelines), preferably at the collegiate level Knowledge of NCAA II rules & regulations (must pass
