Join us to work hard, do good, and make a lasting difference! Job Description Lincoln Park High School is looking for a passionate, high-energy Coach to help start the drumline program. We are searching for a coach who can build culture, push excellence, and create an authentic drumline experience for our students both on and off the field.
The Drumline Coach will:
Teach and develop students in percussion fundamentals and performance skills Manage and coach a team of 15-25 high school students Create choreography, cadences, show music, and performance routines Prepare students for showcases, competitions, pep rallies, and school events Build team culture, accountability, leadership, and discipline Travel with students to local performances
Schedule Project Sessions Tuesday & Thursday:
2:15pm - 3:15pm Potential Opportunities for After-school practices Qualifications Experience coaching or performing in drumline, marching band, HBCU-style band culture, or percussion ensembles Strong leadership and classroom management skills Ability to teach choreography and performance techniques Passion for mentoring and developing young people High energy, professionalism, and commitment to team growth Additional Information Our people are what make us Uncommon. Compensation Coaches will receive an annual stipend of $8,000 based on experience and contracted hours per week, paid monthly. If at any point during the year, you stop performing these responsibilities before they are fully completed, for any reason, your stipend will be adjusted in accordance.
