Job Description
Full Job Description NexGen Sports is a premier baseball and softball training facility dedicated to athlete development through elite coaching, proven training methodology, and modern technology. Our mission is centered on athletic development, technology, excellence, growth, and empowering athletes to train, grow, and succeed. NexGen Sports is growing and opening new roles at both our New York and New Jersey locations. NexGen Sports is hiring a Softball Coach to deliver private lessons, clinics, and camps at our Elmsford, NY facility. You will work directly with athletes of varying ages and skill levels, helping them develop through the NexGen training methodology, and you will report to the Director of Athlete Development, who leads and supports our entire coaching staff. Responsibilities Deliver private lessons, clinics, and camps to Softball athletes of varying ages and skill levels. Help build and run age-appropriate training curriculum in partnership with the Director of Athlete Development. Participate in quarterly athlete testing/evaluations and provide input on athlete progress. Attend required monthly coach/trainer training sessions. Maintain accurate scheduling, attendance, and session notes in Cager Sports. Communicate professionally with athletes and parents about progress and expectations. Maintain a safe, positive, high-energy training environment. Qualifications Playing experience in Softball (collegiate or professional level) strongly preferred. Prior coaching or private-lesson experience preferred. Strong communication skills with athletes and parents of all ages. Reliable, coachable, and comfortable working as part of a coaching staff led by the Director of Athlete Development. Flexible availability, including evenings and/or weekends. Pay & Benefits $35 - $45 per hour, based on experience Flexible part-time schedule Performance-based hourly rate Job Type & Schedule Part-Time Part-time; primarily evenings and weekends, with some weekday daytime availability helpful.
