Job Description
Job Overview We're looking for highly personable, professional, reliable coaches, nannies, childcare providers, and anyone who is amazing with children and families. Must have a great personality, strong communication skills, and understand the importance of greeting parents, creating a positive experience, and representing our brand well. Swim experience is preferred, but being great with kids and customer service is a must. Full availability needed ASAP for summer, with weekend availability required in the fall/winter. In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote safety, technique, and enjoyment. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help participants achieve their aquatic goals while fostering a positive and motivating environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a splash in the community while developing your coaching and teaching skills. Duties Lead engaging swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring activities at all times Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills through clear instruction and hands-on coaching Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members to provide progress updates and address concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment by inspecting equipment and adhering to health regulations Assist with emergency response procedures, including AED operation and administering first aid or CPR when necessary Support sports-specific training instruction such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, or martial arts during specialized classes or camps Qualifications Previous lifeguard experience or certification is highly preferred Strong swimming skills with the ability to teach various strokes and water safety techniques Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings Background in sports coaching or physical education instruction, including soccer coaching or martial arts such as karate or judo Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members Knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or similar health & safety credentials are required or highly desirable Experience working in health clubs, gyms, or sports teams is a plus Join us in creating a fun, safe, and empowering aquatic experience!
