Director of Coaching - Youth town Soccer Club Commack Soccer League Commack, NY Job Details Contract $5,500 - $5,750 a month 5 days ago Qualifications Constructive feedback for students Full Job Description Coaching & Trainer Development Oversee the club's travel trainers and serve as a resource and support for the coaching staff. Maintain regular communication with trainers to understand their needs and ensure they have the resources and support necessary to be successful. Respect the individual coaching styles and expertise of experienced trainers while promoting a consistent overall player-development philosophy throughout the club. Observe training sessions and games periodically to gain an understanding of how teams are developing and identify opportunities for additional support. Provide constructive feedback and mentoring when appropriate and requested. Take a more hands-on mentoring role with newer and developing trainers, helping them build their coaching skills, session planning and understanding of age-appropriate player development. Help recruit and onboard new trainers and assist them in becoming familiar with CSL's expectations, culture and player-development philosophy. Identify opportunities for continuing education and professional development for CSL trainers. Work collaboratively with trainers rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all coaching methodology. Player Development Help establish and communicate CSL's overall player-development philosophy and standards. Identify areas where additional training, resources or support may benefit teams or coaches. Develop age-appropriate training resources and curriculum that trainers can utilize as appropriate. Support trainers in creating a positive, challenging and developmentally appropriate environment for CSL players. Periodically evaluate the overall effectiveness of the club's player-development program and make recommendations to the
