Campus Title Part-Time Assistant Coach '26-'27 (various sports)

Position Summary The SUNY Geneseo Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation, part of the Division of Student and Campus Life, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Assistant Coach for the 2026 - 2027 academic year. This is a pool posting and applicants will be reviewed only when there is a need to fill a position.
This part-time, 10-month position will assist in the organization, implementation, and skill instruction of daily practice, and game-day preparation. You must demonstrate the ability to instruct the student/athletes (team) in all aspects of coaching in the absence of the head coach. You will be expected to adhere to all NCAA, Empire 8, and SUNY Geneseo rules and regulations.

Percentage Of Time 20% Job Duty/ Responsibility Function 2: Skills Teach and train student-athletes in skills and strategies specific to particular sport/defense/offense, etc. Percentage Of Time 15% Job Duty/ Responsibility Function 3: Analysis Evaluate and analyze the gameplay reports of the opposing team Instruct student-athletes on methods of developing strategies to address the opposing team's game tactics Percentage Of Time 15% Job Duty/ Responsibility Function 4: Recruitment Assist with recruiting as needed Percentage Of Time 5% Job Duty/ Responsibility Function 5: Acting Head Coach Instruct the team in all aspects of coaching in the absence of the head coach. Percentage Of Time 5% Job Duty/ Responsibility Function 6: Off-Season Activities Assist in the organization and execution of non-traditional and preseason practices, games, training, and conditioning programs.
