Youth Swim Instructor

Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, engaging, and safety-focused Swim Coach to work with young children. This is a low-commitment, part-time role ideal for someone looking for a well-compensated side opportunity. Sessions will typically take place on weekday mornings, approximately 1-2 days per week, in the Westchester, NY area. Responsibilities Teach foundational swim skills to young children in a safe and supportive environment Maintain strict attention to water safety at all times Adapt lessons to suit varying skill levels and comfort in the water Create a positive, fun, and engaging experience for each child Communicate effectively with parents and program coordinators Qualifications Lifeguard certification (strongly preferred) OR willingness to obtain certification Experience teaching or coaching swimming to young children (strongly preferred) Experience with baby swim or Parent & Me classes (strongly preferred) Background working with children in any capacity (coaching, teaching, childcare, etc.) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Must be adaptable and comfortable working with young beginners Additional Details This is a part-time, flexible role with minimal weekly hours Competitive hourly pay based on experience Ideal for swim instructors, coaches, or educators seeking supplemental income If you are passionate about working with children, prioritize safety, and enjoy teaching swimming in a fun and engaging way, we'd love to hear from you.
