North Country Vault Athletics is a brand-new USA Gymnastics (USAG) Member Club opening in North Lawrence, NY. Located in a beautifully restored historic church, our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional gymnastics instruction while building confidence, character, and a lifelong love of movement. We're looking for enthusiastic coaches to join our growing team as we develop preschool, recreational, pre-team, and Development Program (DP) gymnastics programs . Whether you enjoy introducing young athletes to their first cartwheel or helping competitive gymnasts reach new goals, we'd love to hear from you. This is a unique opportunity to become a founding member of our coaching staff and help shape the culture, coaching philosophy, and future of a growing gymnastics program. Responsibilities Coach athletes in preschool, recreational, pre-team, and competitive gymnastics based on your experience and qualifications. Teach safe progressions on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise . Plan engaging practices that build strength, flexibility, coordination, confidence, and proper technique. Spot athletes safely and appropriately according to skill level. Foster a positive, encouraging, and athlete-centered environment. Help athletes establish strong fundamentals while promoting long-term success in the sport. Communicate professionally with parents, athletes, and fellow coaches. Assist with team practices, camps, clinics, open gyms, and special events. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment. Follow all USA Gymnastics Safe Sport and safety guidelines.
Qualifications Preferred experience includes:
Recreational gymnastics coaching Competitive gymnastics coaching USA Gymnastics (USAG) Gymnastics Canada Development Program (DP) NGA or AAU Gymnastics Former competitive gymnast Cheerleading or tumbling instruction Dance or acrobatics instruction Also encouraged to apply: Physical Education teachers Exercise Science students or graduates Athletic Trainers Physical or Occupational Therapists Individuals with experience working with children and a willingness to learn gymnastics coaching Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required . We are committed to training enthusiastic individuals who demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping children succeed. Current USAG Professional Membership, SafeSport certification, CPR, and First Aid certification are preferred but may be completed after hire.
