Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a WSI Swim Instructor and inspire confidence, skill, and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swim lessons that promote safety, physical activity, and enjoyment. Your expertise will help students develop essential swimming techniques while fostering a positive, motivating environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for sports, teaching, and water safety into a rewarding career. Duties Conduct structured swim lessons for children tailoring instruction to individual skill levels and learning styles Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills aligned with WSI (Water Safety Instructor) standards Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement and confidence Enforce safety rules and respond swiftly to emergencies or behavioral issues in the pool area Incorporate fun activities such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts, or basketball drills to enhance engagement and physical development Maintain a clean, organized pool environment and ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order Collaborate with parents, guardians, or other staff to support student progress and address individual needs Skills Proven lifeguard experience with current certification demonstrating water rescue skills and first aid knowledge Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education across various disciplines such as karate, judo, or martial arts Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings Strong swimming ability with proficiency in multiple strokes and water safety techniques Knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster positive classroom dynamics Familiarity with health club or gym environments promoting fitness and wellness activities Excellent communication skills to motivate learners and collaborate effectively with team members Embark on a fulfilling journey where your enthusiasm for water safety, sports coaching, and teaching can truly make waves! Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 8.0 per week
