Join our team of full time and part time staff at Mercy HealthPlex Anderson . Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers. Power Wellness is a medical fitness industry pioneer who improves the lives of clients with a unique and customized approach to medical fitness center development and management. Their turnkey method takes away the stress of the development and management process allowing clients to focus on other areas of their business. The purpose of the Swim Team Coach is to provide members of the swim team an individualized instruction that is tailored to their needs and skill ability. The Swim Team Coach will also provide oversight, leadership, and support to the swim team during all swim meets.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead members of the swim team both individually and as a team, with the ability to coach swim team members of various age and fitness levels. 2. Coach within standard guidelines of specialty certifications. 3. Understand contraindicated exercises providing a safe and effective approach to exercise. 4. Assess client's needs by performing an evaluation of their strength and ability in the water. 5. Maintain industry certification in good standing and meet continuing education requirements. 6. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities. 7. Work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals. 8. The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members. 9. Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties. 10. Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence communicating with EMS. 11. Participate in Company's HIPAA and related training. 12. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during interactions and work related relationships with all persons at the center including but not limited to members, guests and employees as provided in the Employee Handbook at the time of hire. 13. Demonstrate Power Wellness Core Values & Beliefs. 14. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED .required. Minimum 1 year related experience instructing and/or coaching swim required. CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire. Current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization required, if required by state law. Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred. ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association), or USMS (United States Masters Swimming) certification preferred. USA Swimming required and up to date completion of all courses. (Ex. Concussion Protocol Training, Athlete Protection Training, Foundations of Swimming, etc) Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner.
