About The Position:
As a part-time sports fitness coach/personal trainer, you will be taught and held accountable to, our proven world-class coaching standards. We provide an extensive onboarding process to learn The Spot Athletics processes and training systems, and also provide weekly coach development meetings to invest in all of our coaches continuing to grow in all areas of the fitness and sports performance field. Your key job is to ensure that all our clients, from people new to exercise to pro athletes, feel cared for, appreciated and that the time they spend at The Spot Athletics is the best part of their day.About The Spot Athletics:
We are a private fitness facility that currently operates two world-class, 20,000 sq. ft., training facilities in the Columbus, Ohio area. We were founded in 2010 by world champion powerlifter, Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) co-founder, and former University of Kentucky strength coach, JL Holdsworth. Our mission is to impact and inspire as many lives as possible through world-class coaching. We do this by creating a positive, high energy environment fueled by a cohesive team of servant leaders who strive to build a Spot Athletics community bursting with raving fans. We are creating a movement to change the perception and raise the standard in the fitness industry. We do this by living our values of serving with (com)passion, getting 1% better everyday, and knowing that the details create excellence. We believe that what sets us apart from other companies is that we: Show extraordinary caring for our SpotFam by having one policy we never break, "Do the right thing" Provide Coach Development/Education built around a mixture of doing the basics savagely well and learning/utilizing the most advanced coaching and training practices in the world. Provide personal continuing education budget and reimbursement for competing in fitness related events.Responsibilities:
Live The Spot Athletics mission, vision and values on a daily basis. Provide World Class Coaching to all clientele no matter their level (this may include whole high school and/or youth teams, semi-private groups of athletes and/or adults, and personal training). Promote The Spot Athletics and build our community of clients bursting with raving fans. Arrive early, have all equipment set up and a be prepared for every session. Manage client accounts and communicate effectively with clients and staff. Create a positive, high energy, and inviting environment for the clients and staff. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the weight room area (if you are too good to mop the floors or change the trash, you are not the type of person we are looking for)Qualifications:
The ideal Sports Fitness Coach/Personal Trainer at The Spot Athletics must care deeply about serving others and helping clients of all populations achieve their goals. They must be a positive, personable and hard-working individual who has a love for training and/or fitness. A lifelong learner with a growth mindset is a must as we are always pushing to get better every day. This selfless team player must be adaptable and have the ability to adjust quickly while thinking on their feet.Requirements:
A minimum of one year of paid personal training or strength coach experience. Ability to work 10-20 hours/week, with opportunities in the early morning, evenings, and weekends.Job Type:
