$36,000- $41,150
Basic Function:
Assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, and training the intercollegiate softball team. Reports to Head Softball Coach. Additional Basic Function- if applicable:
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Assist in coaching the softball team; utilize coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athletes' skills and teamwork. Assist with the development of team strategy; analyze performance of student-athletes. Scout and recruit student-athletes. Assist in fundraising activities to subsidize athletic program; assist in marketing and public relations activities to promote the program. Counsel and advise student-athletes with personal and academic problems. May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis. Perform related duties as assigned. Additional Examples of Duties- if applicable:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Administration, or related field and three months of experience coaching softball. Or a combination of coaching and playing experience at the professional or collegiate level equivalent to a total of four years.License/Certification:
Knowledge Of:
National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Mid-American Conference (MAC) rules and regulationsSkill In:
Training or instructing student-athletes- Interpersonal communication
- Basic computer skills
Ability To:
Analyze situations and develop solutions- Travel and work non-traditional hours
- Preferred Qualifications
