Basic Function:
Assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, mentoring, and training an intercollegiate volleyball team. Reports to Head Volleyball Coach. Additional Basic Function

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Assist in coaching a volleyball team; utilize coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athletes' skills and teamwork. Coordinate team travel and logistics. Assist with the development of team strategy; analyze performance of student-athletes. Scout and recruit student-athletes. Assist in fundraising activities to subsidize athletic program; may assist in marketing and public relations activities to promote the program. Assist in production and execution of program camps and clincs Counsel and advise student-athletes with personal and academic problems. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. One or more years of coaching and/or playing experience in collegiate volleyball. Must be able to travel and to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
License/Certification:

Knowledge Of:
National Collegiate Athletics Association and Mid-American Conference rules and regulations
    Skill In:
    Training or instructing student-athletes
    • Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
    • Basic computer skills
    Ability To:
    Analyze situations and develop solutions
    • Travel and work nontraditional hours

    Physical Requirements:
    Typically requires balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance sufficient to demonstrate, teach, and develop skills of student-athletes. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Must be able to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building and off-campus frequently.
