High School Tennis Coach

Description :

Head Tennis Coach in charge of the entire tennis program grades 9-12. Provide instruction to coaches and student athletes to develop skills and the ability to excel in the sport. Contribute to the education program as a whole and to the growth of students in all areas of athletics so that they are successfully competitive.

Responsible to:

Athletic Director, Administrators and Superintendent.

Payment rate:

Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education, plus additional extra duty stipends.

Qualifications:

1.As set by the State of Oklahoma and the Board of Education. Experience as a Head Tennis Coach/Assistant Tennis Coach at High School level or above Oklahoma Teaching Certification Knowledge of completion of OSSAA and NFHS rules. Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries CDL with passenger and required endorsements Willingness to be a lifelong learner, attend clinics, expand knowledge of self and staff. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect and good sportsmanship. Take all steps to protect student athletes, equipment, materials and facilities. Monitor and enforce student eligibility and attendance. Evaluate coaching program and players and make changes based on findings for growth of the program. Complete and maintain overall inventories and maintenance/purchase of equipment. Establish and meet performance goals. Other duties and accountabilities consistent with the job may be assigned. Teaching position negotiable
