Job Description

This position will act as the Head Coach of the Middle School Football Team beginning with the 2026 football season. This coach will possess high ethical and moral standards and be able to work under the guidelines and policies set forth by the North Marion School District, Middle School and Athletic Department, and OSAA. The candidate should be an excellent role model for middle school student athletes, establish rapport with players, teach the fundamentals and strategy of their sport and be supportive of relationships between athletes and all North Marion School District staff. This position is evaluated and renewed annually. Key Responsibilities Previous Football or other middle school coaching experience preferred Knowledge, experience and ability to effectively perform the duties of Coach as stated in the District Coaches Handbook Ability to satisfactorily perform all physical requirements of assigned tasks with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to communicate effectively with parents, administration, players and staff Ability to work with community youth programs Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality. Will coach individual participants in the skills and disposition necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved. Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or District patrons. Hold or ability to acquire a First Aid/CPR card Hold or ability to acquire ASEP/NFHS, concussion, and steroid training Prior to beginning coaching duties, must complete and follow guidelines for online safety trainings required by District Successful fingerprint-based criminal history verification required at own expense upon offer of employment.
