Overview Join our vibrant aquatic education team as a Swim Instructor and Coach, where your passion for swimming, sports, and teaching comes to life! In this dynamic role, you will inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels to develop their water confidence, improve their techniques, and achieve their personal goals. Whether you're leading group lessons, providing one-on-one coaching, or creating engaging aquatic programs, your energy and expertise will help foster a safe, fun, and motivating environment for all participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while advancing your skills in sports coaching, childcare, and physical education. Duties Deliver engaging swim lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, emphasizing safety, technique, and enjoyment Coach participants in various aquatic disciplines such as competitive swimming, water polo, or synchronized swimming Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all swimmers Conduct safety checks including lifeguard duties when necessary, ensuring adherence to all aquatic safety protocols Plan and organize aquatic activities that incorporate elements of martial arts like Karate or Judo to promote discipline and coordination Work with students on developing physical skills through activities like climbing or cheerleading to enhance overall fitness and confidence Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about progress, safety procedures, and upcoming programs Skills Proven experience as a Lifeguard with strong water safety knowledge Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education across diverse age groups Experience working with children in childcare or educational settings Skills in martial arts such as Karate or Judo are a plus for incorporating discipline-based activities into lessons Proficiency in swimming techniques at various levels from beginner to advanced Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment Familiarity with health clubs or gym environments that promote physical activity and wellness Strong communication skills for working with students, parents, and team members Knowledge of climbing activities or cheerleading can be beneficial for creating varied fitness routines This role is ideal for energetic individuals passionate about swimming, sports coaching, martial arts, and working with children.
