The Opportunity:
Are you a fitness guru with a passion for helping others discover their strength? Are you the type of person who wants to turn sweat into smiles? PDXStrength is on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Strength and Conditioning Coach who can blend expert knowledge with a touch of fun. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead group strength & conditioning workouts where laughter is encouraged, safety is a priority, and each member has an appropriate and challenging focus each day.
  • Cultivate a supportive community that fosters motivation, encouragement, and camaraderie among members
  • Assess individuals and adjust/scale/modify as needed, celebrating victories—big and small!
  • Work closely with our team to organize fun events, challenges, and workshops that keep our members pumped and engaged.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in strength and conditioning coaching and/or personal training (bonus points for working with special populations).
  • Excellent communication skills and a knack for making complex concepts simple and fun.
  • Passion for fitness and an infectious enthusiasm that inspires others to get moving!
  • CSCS cert /BS in health, physical education, exercise science etc/ Crossfit Level 1/ ACE cert etc are a major plus but we will mentor/educate the right person.
  • A background in sports, health, or wellness is a major plus (but it's your energy that we really want!).
  • Experience with coaching the Olympic lifting and Powerlifting is also a plus
  • Available Thursday early afternoons/early evenings, MWF mornings and Saturday mornings
  • CPR/AED certified
