District-Wide Elementary School Athletics Coach Stipend:

$1,773/yr. The Elementary School Athletics Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate sport activities for elementary school students. The coach will foster a positive and inclusive environment, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development. This role focuses on introducing fundamental athletic skills and promoting a lifelong love of physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct practices and games for assigned sport, focusing on skill development and participation. Teach fundamental sport skills and rules in a safe and supportive environment. Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among participants. Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes. Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff. Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation. Adhere to all Allentown School District policies and procedures. Assist in the setup and takedown of equipment and facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with elementary school-aged children. Knowledge of basic sport skills and rules. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment. CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to pass required background checks.
