Position Summary:
Cedar Crest College seeks motivated and dedicated individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant Coach within the Athletics Department. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on coaching and administrative experience while pursuing a graduate degree. Graduate Assistants play an integral role in supporting team operations, recruiting efforts, and departmental initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits:
Tuition Assistance:
Up to 6 graduate credits per semester applied toward a master's degree
Stipend:
$2,000 per semester, paid in five monthly installments of $400
On-Campus Housing:
Room assignment coordinated by the
Office of Residence Life Primary Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Team Support:
Conduct daily outreach to prospective student-athletes via phone and email Assist in all current team practice, game planning, and travel Engage actively on social media to promote the program and enhance recruiting efforts Participate in off-campus recruiting activities Coordinate and host prospective student-athletes during campus visits Submit weekly recruiting reports to the
Athletics Department Administrative & Departmental Duties:
Complete approximately 20 hours per week of administrative responsibilities Attend all required Athletics Department meetings unless excused Assist with game day operations and event management Support institutional events such as Open Houses Assist with camps, clinics, and other program-related activities
Qualifications Academic & Enrollment Requirements:
Must be enrolled in a Cedar Crest College graduate program Must maintain good academic standing and a satisfactory GPA as defined by the program
Compliance & Expectations:
Adhere to all Cedar Crest College policies and procedures as outlined in the Student Handbook Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and conduct Represent the Athletics Department and the College in a positive manner
Additional Information:
Graduate Assistant appointments are contingent upon continued enrollment and satisfactory performance. If the appointment is discontinued, tuition assistance, stipend payments, and housing eligibility will cease.
