CPR Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking several new part time Swim Instructors to join our organizations who can work 12-20 hours per week.
Pay Range:
$15 - $19.00/hour

Part-Time Position Summary:
At Swim-in Zone we believe swimming is an essential life-saving skill. As a Swim Instructor, you aren't just a coach—you're a "celebrity" to our students and a hero to their parents. You will provide high-quality, results-driven instruction in a warm, supportive environment, ensuring that every child (from 4 months to 18 years) and adult feels safe and confident in the water.
Duties:
Deliver Excellence:
Teach engaging, safe, and fun swim lessons based on the MSS curriculum, maintaining a maximum student-to-teacher ratio.
Emergency Response:
Be prepared to act immediately and appropriately in the event of an emergency, utilizing your Lifeguard and CPR training.
Student Assessment:
Evaluate student progress regularly, adjust teaching methods to meet individual needs, and decide when a student is ready to move to the next level.
Safety First:
Maintain constant surveillance of students; enforce pool rules strictly but fairly to prevent accidents.
Communication:
Act as a brand ambassador by providing parents with clear, enthusiastic feedback on their child's progress and achievements.
Facility Care:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of lane lines and equipment. Ensure the pool deck and locker rooms remain clean and organized.
What We're Looking For:
Passion for
Kids:
You genuinely enjoy working with children (ages 4 months to 13 years) and possess the patience to help them overcome water anxiety.
Growth Mindset:
You are eager to learn and adapt. MSS provides extensive training, so a willingness to grow is more important than years of prior experience.
Reliability:
You are punctual and dependable, especially for afternoon and weekend shifts.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stay in the water for up to 5 hours and lift/move equipment or children weighing up to 50 lbs.
Age Requirement:
Must be at least 15+ years of age
Qualifications, Preferred Skills & Certifications Required:
Certifications & Clearances (Must be current or obtained upon hiring): CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications Pass Background Check Previous experience instructing, teaching swim lessons, childcare, coaching, or similar roles is highly preferred.
