Head Coach Womens Flag Football

Job Description

Department Athletics Overview Summary and Scope of Position:
The Head Women's Flag Football Coach is responsible for the administration and organization of a successful women's flag football program.
Responsibilities Specific Responsibilities:
Prepare, schedule and organize daily practice sessions, travel schedules, game preparation for competition, and off-season training; devise team rules and expectations Organize and administer the recruiting of prospective student-athletes in accordance with the NCAA and Ursinus College policies and procedures; Hire, organize, direct, and mentor the coaching staff to carry out the goals and objectives of the program; support all athletes, coaches and staff on and off the field Provide general advising, mentoring and support to student-athletes and work to ensure their academic progress and ongoing eligibility, keeping the College's mission and values in mind; Responsibly manage allocated budget; Coordinate fundraising activities and alumni engagement through the Office of Advancement related to your sport; Engage in regular consultation with athletic training personnel to implement appropriate risk management strategies and maximize the safety and overall wellness of student-athletes; Work collaboratively with the Compliance Officer in regards to adhering to all rules and regulations of the NCAA; Field a team that will be as competitive as possible within the guidelines set by the NCAA and Ursinus College; Engage in ethical decision-making and outstanding sportsmanship; be mindful of representing Athletics in a professional/positive way
Requirements and Qualifications Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations Experience with recruiting and fundraising Application Interested candidates should apply here
