Diverse Abilities Swim Instructors (Part-time) Diverse Abilities Swim Instructor Start ASAP | Saturdays 12:00-1:00 PM | Private Lessons Available The YMCA is a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As the nation's longest-standing provider of swim lessons, the Y plays a vital role in promoting water safety and skill development. We are currently seeking a Diverse Abilities Swim Instructor to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes designed for individuals with diverse abilities. Position Responsibilities Instruct swim lessons aligned with YMCA standards Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment Motivate and support swimmers with diverse abilities Demonstrate and teach proper swimming techniques Uphold and model YMCA core values:
Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility Schedule & Availability Saturdays:
12:00-1:00 PM Additional private lessons available Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Required experience working with children with diverse abilities Ability to demonstrate swim instructor skills, including 4 of the 6 strokes in good form per YMCA standardsPreferred:
YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent Certifications a plus: CPR for the Professional Rescuer Basic First Aid Ability to perform physical tasks required for swim instruction Compensation $15/hour to start Join our team and make a meaningful impact by helping individuals of all abilities gain confidence, safety, and skills in the water.Part-time Benefits:

membership for the employee while actively working. All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them. Free clearances are based on a six-month retention.
