Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for swim team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Retain and recruit swim team members. Work closely with other coaches, parents and the Aquatics Department to ensure that our team meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Ensure that the team and participants are following league rules and regulations. Perform administrative duties as needed. Plan and administer practice for assigned training groups. Attend swim meets and other functions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be able to complete Safety Training for Swim Coaches. Be able to complete Principles of YMCA Swimming and Diving. CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen and Lifeguarding or Water Safety for Coaches. At least 21 years of age.
