What You'll Do As a Performance Coach, you will help create an exceptional experience for every client while developing your skills as a coach.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist with and eventually lead small-group and individual training sessions using Power Train's coaching standards and programming systems. Learn how to coach proper movement, exercise technique, strength training, conditioning, and athletic development. Build positive relationships with clients and help them work toward their individual goals. Create a fun, energetic, and encouraging training environment. Observe experienced coaches and continuously apply feedback to improve your coaching ability. Participate in Free Trials and help prospective members understand the benefits of Power Train training. Contribute to member retention and growth by providing an exceptional client experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment. Help create and implement social media content that showcases the Power Train experience. Participate in continuing education, staff training, and professional development opportunities. Represent Power Train professionally through your appearance, communication, attitude, and actions. Arrive 16 minutes before your scheduled start time so you are prepared and ready to provide an exceptional client experience. Work assigned opening and closing shifts as needed. Support the team with other responsibilities that contribute to the success of the facility. Education & Experience Previous coaching experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Students or recent graduates studying Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, Physical Education, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Relevant certifications such as CPT, CSCS, or other recognized fitness certifications are a plus, but are not necessarily required for the right entry-level candidate. Personal experience with strength training, athletics, or competitive sports is also valued.
