Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Director of Boys Lacrosse to lead and elevate our boys' lacrosse program. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lacrosse training programs tailored to various skill levels among boys in grades K-12, emphasizing technical proficiency, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship. Lead practice planning and oversee game-day coaching, ensuring effective instruction while fostering team cohesion and competitive spirit among our team of coaches. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate seasonal coaches and staff to build a strong coaching team aligned with program goals. Promote safety protocols by ensuring all players understand rules and adhere to safety guidelines Communicate regularly with student-athletes' families regarding team progress, upcoming events, and individual development plans. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from diverse student populations while managing challenges with professionalism and care. Qualifications Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on lacrosse; prior experience in leadership roles strongly encouraged Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate young athletes and manage team dynamics effectively. Strong background in working with children or students in educational or extracurricular settings Knowledge of lacrosse-specific training techniques including skills development desired Certification in First Aid and CPR, as well as Bronze-level or better coaching certification with USA Lacrosse required Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and community members. Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive discipline strategies; experience with behavior management is essential.
