Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic health and wellness team as a Youth Strength & Conditioning Coach & Group Fitness Instructor, where you will energize and motivate participants through engaging, high-quality athletic performance & fitness classes. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire individuals of all fitness levels, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster a vibrant community atmosphere. As a key member of our club, you will design and lead diverse group exercise sessions that emphasize proper technique, safety, and enjoyment. Duties Lead energetic and well-structured group fitness classes tailored to various skill levels, ensuring participants stay motivated and safe throughout each session Develop innovative class programs by applying knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and anatomy to maximize effectiveness and minimize injury risk Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, provide modifications as needed, and offer personalized guidance to enhance participant experience Monitor class participants' form and performance, offering encouragement and corrective feedback to promote optimal results Collaborate with other fitness professionals to create cohesive wellness programs that align with members' goals Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment by setting up equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed Stay current with industry trends in group fitness, sports coaching, and health club best practices to continually improve class offerings Qualifications Proven experience in teaching group fitness classes or personal training with a strong understanding of sports coaching principles Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to effectively execute safe and effective workout programs Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants Certification in group fitness instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., CSCS, NSCA-CPT, CPSS, TSAC-F) is preferred; relevant certifications in personal training or sports coaching are a plus Strong understanding of program design tailored to different fitness levels and goals Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly while maintaining high energy levels throughout classes Prior experience working in a health club or gym environment is advantageous Embark on a rewarding journey helping others achieve their fitness aspirations!
