Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Women's Basketball Coach to lead, inspire, and develop our female basketball athletes. This dynamic role involves planning and executing engaging training sessions, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong coaching skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine dedication to empowering women through sport. As a key member of our athletic program, you will motivate athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the court, ensuring a safe and inclusive experience for all participants. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to female athletes' skill levels and developmental needs Lead team practices, drills, and game strategies to enhance athletic performance Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork Monitor athlete progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including proper AED operation and first aid readiness Manage behavior and conflict resolution among players to maintain a respectful environment Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, staff, and school officials regarding team activities and athlete development Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on basketball; previous women's team coaching preferred Demonstrated ability to teach physical skills of the game. Strong communication skills to motivate athletes and collaborate with colleagues effectively Experience working with children or students in a coaching or teaching capacity Certifications in AED operation and first aid are highly desirable Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering an inclusive environment for all skill levels Join us in shaping confident athletes while promoting health, teamwork, and personal growth!
