Description:
Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is seeking a dynamic, experienced Middle School Head Golf Coach. This role requires a proven background in coaching golf, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a genuine passion for guiding student-athletes to grow both athletically and personally. The head coach will help to foster a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, and excellence while mentoring students in character, discipline, and academic balance.
Requirements:
Faith and Mission Serve as a daily witness to Christ through professional conduct, leadership, and a vibrant faith life.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a structured, competitive, and values-driven golf program. Plan and conduct practices that enhance skill development, fitness, and tactical understanding. Lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes on and off the field. Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and parents to promote a positive athletic experience. Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and game-day operations.
Qualifications:
Experience coaching middle school or high school golf. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering a student-centered environment emphasizing character and personal growth. Requirements Availability to begin practices during the Middle School athletic block, starting at 1:40 p.m if available, but we have flexibility to start after school at 3:15 pm. This position is a non-faculty stipend role unless the candidate qualifies for one of our full-time positions. Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven leadership. Proven ability to build strong, meaningful relationships with JPII students and their families. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
