Job Description

Overview Looking for an energetic coach to join our coaching staff. Boerne Elite has been a dream of ours for many years. My wife, Kim, and I founded the club in August 2024 because we wanted to create something different for swimmers and triathletes in our community—a program built on positive coaching, athlete development, and a genuine love for the sport. Everything we do is guided by three core principles: Positive Culture We believe athletes perform their best when they feel supported, encouraged, and valued. Our coaches focus on building confidence, developing character, and helping swimmers create a lifelong love of aquatics. Individualized Development Every athlete is unique. We focus on the individual first, emphasizing strong fundamentals, proper technique, and long-term progression. Whether an athlete is just learning the basics or striving for high-level competition, we meet them where they are and help them grow. Fun & Community Swimming should be challenging, rewarding, and fun. We have worked hard to build a welcoming community where athletes and families form lasting friendships while pursuing their goals together. We are also proud to be a SafeSport Recognized Club , committed to providing a safe, positive environment free from abuse, harassment, and bullying. Athlete safety and well-being are always our top priorities. Duties Design and deliver comprehensive swim practices tailored to individual skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Lead group training sessions focusing on stroke development, endurance, safety skills, and water confidence Monitor and evaluate swimmer progress, providing constructive feedback to motivate improvement Enforce safety protocols by supervising swimmers closely and operating AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment in emergencies Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR procedures Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members about progress, schedules, and safety concerns Manage behavior and foster positive team dynamics among swimmers of diverse ages and backgrounds Qualifications Prior swim coaching experience is highly desirable, but not the only thing. Coaches of any sport that love the working with athletes is most important! We can teach the sport portion, but looking for someone who is a natural coach. Strong swimming understanding with demonstrated proficiency in various strokes and techniques Experience working with children in sports or educational settings is essential Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining discipline during practices Join us as a Swim Coach where your passion for sports and dedication to athlete development will help shape confident swimmers while promoting health, safety, and teamwork!
Pay:
$16.85 - $27.59 per hour
