In this paid role, you will lead youth flag football practices and games, fostering a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that promotes physical activity and personal growth. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help children build confidence, learn the fundamentals of football, and enjoy the spirit of sportsmanship in a supportive setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for sports with your dedication to mentoring youth. Duties Plan and execute engaging flag football practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Lead game-day activities, ensuring all participants are involved, motivated, and encouraged to perform their best. Teach basic football rules, safety protocols, and sports techniques tailored to children's age groups. Foster a positive team environment by promoting respect, discipline, and good communication among players. Monitor players' behavior on and off the field, implementing behavior management strategies as needed. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding player progress, game schedules, and upcoming events. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper use of first aid supplies and AED operation when necessary. Requirements Prior experience working with children in sports or educational settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of flag football rules and basic coaching techniques; experience in soccer coaching or sports-specific training instruction is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team staff. Ability to lead with enthusiasm, motivate young athletes, and foster a fun learning environment. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; AED operation knowledge is essential for safety preparedness. Background in sports such as basketball, soccer, martial arts (including karate), climbing or gymnastics is advantageous. Experience teaching physical education or working within health clubs or gyms can be beneficial for understanding fitness fundamentals.
