Job Description

Golf Coach — Kevics Golf Academy (Keller, TX) Kevics Golf Academy, a coaching academy and training facility in the DFW metroplex, is looking for a passionate, motivated Golf Coach to join our team. About Us At KGA, we coach a wide range of players. We have a significant junior student base, from beginner to competitive, and on into college. The same can be said regarding our adult students. We've coached the beginners and even touring professionals. We offer year-round private coaching, a junior academy during the school year, and camps in the summer, all out of our Keller, TX 4,000 sq ft indoor facility, and we're growing. What You'll Do Deliver individual and group golf lessons to junior and adult students of all skill levels Run or assist with junior academy classes and camps Run or assist with adult groups and clinics Use TrackMan and other technology to support student development Build strong relationships with students and parents, encouraging retention and referrals Collaborate with our fitness and TPI staff to support a whole-player development approach What We're Looking For Experience Minimum 2+ years teaching golf in a lesson, camp, or academy setting. We will consider candidates that recently graduated from college who have played at the collegiate level. Demonstrated experience teaching junior golfers (ages 6-17) specifically, not just adults Experience running or assisting with group clinics or camps, not just 1-on-1 lessons Collegiate playing experience is highly preferred. Must have a verifiable GHIN handicap of 3 or better. Our coaches take pride in being great players. An on-course assessment will be part of the interview process. Teaching & Technical Skills Strong understanding of full swing mechanics, short game, putting, and course management Ability to diagnose swing faults and communicate corrections in a way students of different ages/skill levels understand Comfortable using launch monitor and simulator technology (TrackMan experience strongly preferred) Experience with video analysis tools and repository software (e.g., CoachNow, OnForm) Basic understanding of player development pathways (junior tournament golf, high school golf, college recruiting) Communication & Interpersonal Excellent communication skills with both students, parents, prospects, and current staff Patient, encouraging teaching style suited to junior instruction Professional, punctual, and reliable — this role interacts directly with paying clients Comfortable with sales-adjacent conversations (recommending lesson packages, camps, memberships) without being pushy Schedule & Logistics Availability required for nights and weekends (this is the core schedule for the role) Daytime availability a plus, for camps, makeup lessons, or off-peak bookings as needed Reliable transportation to our Keller, TX facility Physical ability to demonstrate golf swings and stand/walk for extended periods Certification & Credentials U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach a plus TPI certifications a plus TrackMan Certified a plus Background check clearance required — all instructors work directly with junior students CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire Candidates may be required to complete a written exam about the golf swing, video analysis of a student's swing, and in-person live demonstrations of various golf coaching topics. Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience with golf-specific fitness or TPI screening Social media savvy (for helping promote camps/clinics) Other Details This position is a 1099 independent contractor We provide the coach with leads when they come in, however, it is the coach's responsibility to market his/her services performed at the KGA facility.
