In this role, you will lead dynamic sports sessions that promote teamwork, communication, and confidence while fostering a positive environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help children develop essential social skills through the power of sports, making a lasting impact on their growth and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for sports, coaching, and working with children in a vibrant, supportive setting. Responsibilities Deliver sports-based behavioral science driven activities that enhance social skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, and behavior management among children with and without developmental disabilities . Lead sports sessions including soccer, basketball, and other physical activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Foster a safe, inclusive environment by implementing proper safety protocols, including AED operation and first aid/CPR procedures. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and clients to provide updates on progress and address any concerns or questions. Manage group behavior to ensure a positive experience for all participants while encouraging sportsmanship and respect. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to develop customized programs that meet the developmental needs of children. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and safety checks in compliance with organizational standards. Assist in marketing new program in and around the Missouri City area: 80% of the job in the first several months will be devoted to this task. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is essential. Demonstrated sports coaching experience across various disciplines such as soccer coaching, basketball instruction, martial arts training (karate), swimming instruction, or climbing supervision. Background in team leadership or coaching roles within sports teams or health clubs is highly desirable. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; certifications as an Registered Behavior Technician is a plus. Experience teaching physical education or working in childcare environments will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote positive social interactions during activities. Compensation Pay starts at $20/hr with an expected 10 hours per week With a BACB Registered Behavior Technician certification starting rate goes to $25/hr This is a 1099 contractor position for non RBT certified candidates. RBT candidates will be hired as a W2 employee. Location Missouri City Recreation and Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr, Missouri City, TX 77459 Must be available to work directly with kids from 11 am - 1:30 pm.
