Assistant Basketball Coach Utah Prep Academy, located in the heart of Hurricane, Utah, is a premier private boarding school that blends rigorous academics with a nationally recognized basketball program. Known for its commitment to character, leadership, and preparing student-athletes for collegiate and international success, Utah Prep attracts talent from across the globe. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Basketball Coach to join our dynamic coaching staff. Room and board provided . Depending on experience, qualifications, availability, and level of commitment, a modest stipend or salary may be considered on a case-by-case basis. This is an outstanding opportunity for an aspiring coach to gain valuable experience in an elite prep basketball environment while working alongside experienced coaches and talented student-athletes from around the world. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the Head Coach in all facets of the program, including elite-level player development, team training, game strategy, recruiting, and program operations. Responsibilities include leading portions of practice, assisting with scouting and game planning, conducting positional skill development, and providing individual player instruction. The role also includes supporting domestic and international recruiting efforts, managing equipment, and helping ensure compliance with program standards. A strong emphasis is placed on mentoring student-athletes, promoting academic accountability, and fostering leadership, discipline, and character both on and off the court. Ideal candidates will have prior coaching experience at the high school, AAU, prep, college, or professional level and demonstrate a high basketball IQ, outstanding leadership and communication skills, and a genuine passion for developing young athletes. This position offers the opportunity to build your coaching résumé, expand your recruiting network, develop meaningful relationships within the basketball community, and contribute to a nationally recognized program that prepares student-athletes for collegiate and professional opportunities.
Pay:
