JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your job duties would primarily include teaching young children (usually between the ages of 3 and 12) how to swim; some of them with significant fears. You must be compassionate and able to connect to and play with children, but it is critical to also be able to know when and how to hold boundaries. Your duties also include engaging the parents in their children's lesson, educating them on their children's progress, giving simple "homework" and developing a relationship with clients that encourages openness and feedback. You will perform basic pool opening and closing procedures (checking walkways and entry ways for safety issues•addressing said issues, covering pool, checking pool chemicals, etc). You will be required to read memorize and abide by various policies and procedures to ensure the safety of clients and maintain continuity in related business processes and procedures. Because we do not tolerate entitlement or lack of integrity in any form, employees are expected to be fiercely hard-working, honest and accountable in everything they do and say. You must be solution oriented and prone to communication and participate in feedback. You will be expected to seek out help for issues and challenges you may have with students (we love getting calls about questions people have about their students!) and have an internal drive to progress a student as much as you can every lesson•striving to gain knowledge and insight into new ideas and techniques for teaching and communicating your ideas. We hope to see your application soon!
