Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Adaptive Snowsports Instructor, where your passion for snow sports and commitment to inclusive teaching will inspire and empower individuals with diverse needs. In this paid role, you will deliver engaging, safe, and personalized skiing or snowboarding lessons tailored to students of all abilities, including those with physical, cognitive, or developmental challenges. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create memorable winter experiences while fostering confidence and independence on the slopes. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' abilities and develop customized lesson plans that accommodate individual needs and goals Deliver engaging instruction in skiing or snowboarding techniques, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants Adapt teaching methods to support students with disabilities or special requirements, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques as needed Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols, monitoring student progress. Communicate effectively with students, parents, caregivers, and team members to provide updates on progress and address concerns Document student progress, lesson outcomes, and safety incidents accurately in accordance with organizational standards Skills Ability to ski or snowboard at a proficient level Proven experience in sports coaching or physical education instruction, particularly in adaptive or inclusive settings Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse learners, parents, and team members Experience working with children or individuals with special needs; familiarity with behavior management strategies is a plus. Ability to teach physical skills confidently while fostering a positive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence Join us in making winter sports accessible and enjoyable for everyone!
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 32.0 per week
