Job Summary We are seeking a couple more coaches/instructors to finish out our team for the Fall. We are seeking enthusiastic people to lead or assist in leading introductory sports after-school classes in Public Schools in Loudoun County - specifically around the Ashburn, Brambleton, and Leesburg areas. This is very part time work. Applicants can expect 1-3 hours each week. Responsibilities Lead sports-specific 1-hour classes that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and FUN. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing rules, supervising activities, and maintaining a secure environment. Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to foster respectful participation. Communicate clearly with students and possibly parents regarding program expectations and student progress. Possibly maintain equipment, ensure proper use of all sports equipment. Foster a fun, exciting atmosphere that encourages participation from all students regardless of skill level or experience. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is essential. Ideally sports coaching experience in activities such as soccer or basketball, and other sports is desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and school personnel. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment. Ability to lead team activities confidently while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Experience teaching physical education or coaching sports teams is a plus. Enthusiasm for promoting health and fitness through engaging physical activities tailored for elementary students.
