Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Sports Coach for Overtime Athletics -Greater Warrenton, to inspire young athletes and foster a love for physical activity through engaging sports programs. In this role, you will lead youth teams, develop skill-building drills, and create a positive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and fun. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate children to achieve their personal best while ensuring safety and enjoyment during every session. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives through sports and physical education. Responsibilities Follow plans and deliver age-appropriate sports coaching sessions across various activities such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts, and swimming. Lead youth teams in practices and games, emphasizing skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols, supervising activities, and managing behavior effectively. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, participation, and alerting management with concerns. Conduct basic first aid and CPR when necessary, including AED operation to ensure immediate response to emergencies. Foster a positive team atmosphere by encouraging participation, building confidence, and promoting fair play. Keep detailed records of attendance, progress reports, and safety incidents to support program quality and compliance. Skills Proven experience working with children in sports or physical education settings. Strong knowledge of sports-specific training instruction for activities like soccer coaching, basketball drills, cheerleading routines, or martial arts techniques such as karate or judo. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Demonstrated leadership abilities in team settings with experience in coaching or teaching youth sports programs. First aid and CPR certification with AED operation knowledge to handle emergencies confidently. Background in lifeguard experience or swimming instruction is a plus for aquatic programs. Ability to manage behavior constructively while maintaining a lively and motivating environment. Experience working in health clubs or gyms is advantageous for integrating fitness into sports coaching.
