Assistant Women's Softball Positions Coach Regent University - 3.6 Virginia Beach, VA Job Details Part-time $15,000 a year 23 hours ago Qualifications NCAA standards Managerial strategic planning NCAA rules Educational compliance and regulation understanding Full Job Description 50000590 Softball Staff & Administration Part time Closing on: Mar 31 2027 Add to favorites The Assistant Women's Softball Pitching Coach will assist the Head Softball Coach with games, practices, recruiting prospective student-athletes, field prep requirements, as well as focusing on positions training and strategy. All responsibilities will be under the leadership of the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics. This is a part-time position.

Virginia Beach, VA Salary:
$15,000 annually Essential duties: Assisting in Practice Planning Running Drills and Position Groups Specific to Infield and Outfield Shared Field Work After Practice and Before Game Days First Base Coach and Specific Position Coaching for Fall Play Date and spring Games Recruiting - The ability to work at camps and recruiting events during summer and fall recruiting

Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred Prerequisites for the

One or more years of successful high school, college, or private coaching experience is preferred Proven ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and in public speaking contexts Proven ability to communicate ideas and priorities effectively to promote teamwork and achieve desired results Demonstrated strategic planning skills and an ability to assess the team's competitive strengths and vulnerabilities Demonstrated skill in making strategic recommendations to enhance the team's performance Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule
Time Commitment:
24 Practice/Individual/Weights Days in the Fall plus Play Day Practices, Weight Training and All Games in the Spring Office time can be worked around other jobs/commitments if needed Candidates must have: Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule Proven ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and in public speaking contexts Proven ability to communicate ideas and priorities effectively to promote teamwork and achieve desired results Demonstrated strategic planning skills and an ability to assess the team's competitive strengths and vulnerabilities Demonstrated skill in making strategic recommendations to enhance the team's performance Thorough understanding of the rules and regulations governing intercollegiate competition and adhere to rules and standards established by NCAA Commitment to Regent's core values of Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity Benefits Not eligible for benefits.
