Job Description
Essex Westford School District has an opportunity for an Assistant Inddor Track Coach at our Essex High School for their upcoming winter season. The position pays a stipend of $2,500 for the season.
All coaches must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate at the commencement of the sports season for which the person has been appointed to coach. Candidates must also meet the certification and training requirements of the VPA, which requires certification in Sports First Aid and Fundamentals in Coaching within one year of hire. Acceptable certifications include ASEP (American Sport Education Program) certification or NFHS (National Federation of High Schools). The VPA also requires coaches to complete the NFHS elective courses entitled, "
CONCUSSION IN SPORTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
" and "
IMPLICIT BIAS
