ASSISTANT COACH HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' BASKETBALL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Prepare student athletes for competition through the instruction of skills, strategies and training necessary to realize individual and team success. Provide instruction that will lead to the pride of accomplishment, self-discipline, self-confidence, and good sportsmanship. Consciously model the values of trust and integrity; be a positive role model for students. Ability to work with a team and communicate with supervisor, administrators, staff, students, and community members in a positive manner. Assist with off-season (summer) program. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of high school basketball and WIAA rules; previous high school coaching/basketball coaching experience preferred; possess a current CPR/First Aid card or have the ability to complete certification upon hire; must be at least 18 years of age; demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment to students; successful completion of fingerprinting and background check upon employment; successful completion of WIAA rules clinic and concussion training upon employment; certificated personnel preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to bend, stoop, push, and carry items. Ability to lift 25 lbs Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
