Forks High School Head Baseball Coach
COACHING REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have or obtain a valid First Aid card Good human relations and interpersonal skills Complete
WIAA/WOA
Rules Clinic for high school varsity head coach Prior coaching experience required
COACHING EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate leadership abilities Possess a strong value system that aligns with the Districts Core Covenants of Respect, Integrity and Commitment Ability to work effectively with others: players, parents, teachers, administrators, patrons, and assistants Ability to motivate others Ability to effectively communicate with all audiences Ability to build and promote a program Dedicated and committed to coaching and knows the value of winning Adheres to the rules, regulations, and policies of the WIAA Develop a good rapport with parents, patrons, news media, assistants, teachers and administrators Work with other staff to assist athletes in maintaining eligibility Responsible for the conduct and well-being of players and assigns proper supervision of players Supervise assistant coaches and assign duties to them Meet with parents and players to discuss philosophy of program and the responsibility of coaches and players Ensure that facilities and equipment are maintained properly and reports needs to the Athletic Director View athletic participation as having a positive impact on students and knows the value of winning as it relates to growth and development of students and the program Promote and practice positive sportsmanship Work to achieve a positive relationship with all audiences Perform other duties and responsibilities consistent with district policies and procedures as required
