TSD Coaches Salary Schedule/Stipend Job Description:
Responsible to the Athletic Director, Program Head Coach, and Administration. Must be able to attend all school practices, games, tournaments, meetings, etc. Must be able to drive district vehicles to transport participants. Support the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program of that particular sport and the total athletic program of the school district. Support and uphold the Head Coach's leadership and the team's goals. As a team, members should be willing to adapt their individual views on strategy and tactics to align with the overall direction and objectives established by the Head Coach. Assume the responsibility for maintenance of facilities and personnel in the absence of the Head Coach. Report all injuries, misconduct, or other unusual situations to the Head Coach, Athletic Director, or Principal. Assist in checking in and inventorying all equipment at the end of the season. Assume all duties assigned to the Head Coach in the event the Head Coach is absent. Attend rules clinics, workshops, and classes that are required to maintain compliance with WIAA coaching certifications standards. Apply discipline in a fair, firm and positive manner. Conduct themselves in an ethical manner during practices and contests. Provide information regarding Letters and special awards. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. Complete and file mandatory WIAA rules clinics with the Athletic Director. Complete and file mandatory Safe School tests with the Athletic Director.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Physical ability to lift 25 pounds to shoulder height. Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead. Ability to effectively manage student transition to a variety of locations (e.g. P.E., recess, buses and lunch) throughout the day.
