Job Description

Class A CDL Driver - Hook Truck, End Dump & Flatbed Bytes Recycling LLC | Tenino, WA Bytes Recycling is hiring a dependable Class A CDL driver to haul scrap metal, deliver and pick up roll-off containers, and transport materials using our hook truck, end dump, and flatbed truck. We're looking for someone who operates equipment safely, takes care of their truck, communicates well, and stays productive. This is a hands-on position that includes some hand loading, strapping loads, and helping in the recycling yard between driving assignments. Responsibilities Safely operate hook trucks, end dumps, and flatbed trucks. Deliver, position, and pick up roll-off containers at customer locations. Haul scrap metal and materials to and from customers and recycling facilities. Hand-load and unload materials when needed. Secure loads using straps and chains, tarp loads, and monitor load weights. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report maintenance issues. Maintain required driving records, scale tickets, and delivery paperwork. Communicate with the manager about routes, pickups, delays, and customer needs. Assist with sorting and general yard work between driving assignments. Keep trucks and work areas clean and organized. Requirements Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical certification. Driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Ability to meet applicable DOT driver qualification and testing requirements. Safe backing, maneuvering, and load securement skills. Ability to perform physical work, including hand-loading materials, securing loads with straps and chains, and climbing onto and off trucks and trailers, with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Dependable attendance and ability to work independently. Professional attitude when working with customers and coworkers. Preferred Experience Hook truck or roll-off operation. End dump operation and safe dumping practices. Flatbed hauling and load securement. Scrap metal, recycling, construction, or heavy equipment work.
Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
