Being a consistent face for the YMCA Masters Swim program Being available for a majority of the Masters swim practices (M/W/F 12-1pm, T/W/TH 7:45-8:45pm, Sat 8-9am) Leading by example - using your training to perform rescues in and around the pool Assisting in preparation of the swim team area for workout Assisting with appropriate stretching and warm-up/cool-down activities Assisting with maintaining safety and discipline during workouts and meets Assisting in responding to the individual needs of participants Assisting in providing a variety of demonstration, explanation, and practice and skill correction during each workout Assisting in effective communication with athletes/parents in a friendly manner and providing appropriate encouragement Teaching swimming lessons according the YMCA Swim Lessons curriculum Being a positive role model for youths and adults in your community Upholding the
YMCA Policies and Standards Requirements:
Must be 18 or older Must have 2 years of experience in competitive swimming Must have a minimum of current CPR/First Aid OR Lifeguard Certification Maintains a current Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification (or Lifeguard Certification) Must possess YMCA of the USA Coaches Certification and USA Swimming Certification (or achieve within 30 days) Must pass YMCA and USA Swimming background checksSimilar remote jobs
